Stephen Walsh joins the cross country staff in his first year as volunteer assistant coach. After getting his undergraduate degree from BC in philosophy in 2007, he is currently working towards an M.A. in philosophy as part of the five year BA/MA program at Boston College. Walsh served as BC's cross country captain his senior year. He was a four year letter-winner. Throughout his 4 years, he also ran a 8:32.76 in the 3,000m and 14:49.6 in the 5000m, as well as a 9:25.06 at the 2007 New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships. At the 2005 Murray Keating Cross-Country Invitational he crossed the line in a time of 25:23 for 8000m. A 2003 graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School in Rhode Island, he ran varsity Cross-Country and Track and Field. He was five time first team All-State, three time All-New England, and was a member of an All-American Distance Medley. He also earned three Individual state championships, and helped his team win 10 State Championships, and two New England Championships.
