Finished the season with seven tackles (five solos) and one forced fumble...saw increased playing time at defensive end this season and worked his way onto the two-deep at left end in several games...registered one solo tackle at Brigham Young...had one solo stop against Ball State...recorded two tackles (one solo) against Wake Forest...made one assisted tackle at North Carolina...recorded one solo stop and his first collegiate forced fumble at Maryland...made one solo tackle against Boise State in the MPC Computers Bowl.

An outstanding two-way player in high school, Jeff is projected to be a linebacker...set Ridge High School career records for receptions, receiving yards and touchdown receptions...earned 2001 All-Northeast honors from SuperPrep and All-Region accolades from PrepStar...gained All-State second-team honors as a senior wide receiver/linebacker...was a two-time All-State Group II, All-County, All-Area and All-Conference selection...finished his senior season with 48 receptions for 767 yards and 13 touchdowns...also recorded 101 tackles -- 47 solos and 54 assisted; made two interceptions and forced three fumbles...led the 2001 Devils to a 9-3 record and their first-ever berth in the state championship game...made 54 receptions for 1,033 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior...served as 2001 team co-captain for head coach Tom Falato...was selected to play in both the Governor's Bowl All-Star Game and the New Jersey North-South All-Star Game...was named to the New Jersey Football Coaches Association Super 100 All-Star Team...also starred on Ridge's basketball team; earned All-County and All-Area first-team honors as a senior.
