BOSTON COLLEGE FOOTBALL MEDIA POLICIES (FALL 2025)

The Boston College Athletic Communications Office is available to assist you with coverage of the BC football program.

The Athletic Communications Office is located on the second level of Conte Forum. For information regarding credentials, interviews, statistics, press conferences, etc., please e-mail Lucas Smith at smitlu@bc.edu.

To assist in your coverage of practice, please read the media information on this page. All interviews must be arranged through the Communications Office at least one day in advance. All student-athletes and coaches will not take part in an interview unless scheduled by the BC Athletic Communications Office.

PRACTICE COVERAGE
•   Practices are open to the media Tuesday-Thursday of game week. Still and video photography is permitted for player arrivals and designated periods.

•   Media are asked to please refrain from reporting on offensive and defensive strategy, including the use of formations, personnel groups, non-conventional plays and use of “first team” or “second team” in regards to the depth chart.

•   Please do not report or speculate on injuries until addressed formally by Coach O'Brien or a team official.

•   Please do not quote, paraphrase or report on the comments made during practice by coaches or players.

•   Please do not report on practice until the practice session has completed and respect the guidelines listed above.

INTERVIEWS
•   Head coach Bill O’Brien will be available at predetermined dates each week to the media following the conclusion of spring practice.

•   Select student-athletes are made available for interviews following the conclusion of each media-attended spring practice. Player requests can be sent in advance to Lucas Smith.

•   All post-practice interviews will take place in the Fish Field House interview room at the near 30-yard line.

MEDIA ATTENDANCE
•   Media attending practice must RSVP at least one day in advance to Lucas Smith.

PARKING
•   Media are encouraged to park inside the Beacon Street Garage.

•   For validation, a photo of a parking slip can be texted to Lucas Smith (781-775-5263) immediately upon arrival.
