No. 20 Eagles Prepare to Travel to UMass Lowell

BC will take on the River Hawks for the second time this season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — No. 20 Boston College Baseball heads to UMass Lowell on Tuesday evening for their second meeting of the 2026 season. First pitch at LeLacheur Park is slated for 6:00 p.m. on America East TV.
Record vs UMass Lowell
Boston College is 10-2 all-time against UMass Lowell with a 4-1 road record. The Eagles went 4-0 against the River Hawks last season, including 8-3 and 5-0 wins at UMass Lowell in early May.
The two teams played each other earlier in the 2026 season back on March 18, where BC picked up a 12-2 win in eight innings. Jack Toomey led the way for the Eagles, going 4-4 from the plate with a home run, one double, and four RBI. Danny Surowiec finished with three hits, including one home run, while Colin Larson also hit a home run for Boston College.
Scouting the River Hawks
UMass Lowell is 16-23 overall on the season with a 6-12 record in America East play. The River Hawks were swept by Bryant over the weekend in a home league series, falling by scores of 8-5, 5-3, and 4-2.
Sean O'Leary leads UMass Lowell in batting average (.318), home runs (7), and runs (44) and sits second in hits (47) and RBI (33). Cal Chance is hitting .304 with a team-high 49 hits. On the mound, Alfred Mucciarone has pitched 55.2 innings and boasts a 5.17 ERA with 71 hits allowed.
Last Time Out
The Eagles traveled to Notre Dame for an ACC series against the Fighting Irish this past weekend. BC dropped the first game of the series before bouncing back to win the next two.
The bats got hot in Saturday's 16-1 win as the Eagles put up a season-high 21 hits. Kyle Wolff hit two home runs, while Julio Solier finished with four hits, including his first career home run. Brady Miller pitched 5.2 innings and struck out six batters.
On Sunday, Wolff hit a ninth inning home run to put the Eagles back in the lead for the win. Nick Wang hit his 14th home run of the season and 38th of his career, moving him into sole possession of third place in program history for home runs in a BC career. Gavin Soares threw 3.1 scoreless innings in relief, allowing just one hit and striking out six batters to claim the win.
