South Bend, Ind. - The Boston College softball team (13-35, 3-18 ACC) finished out the series in a 10-2 loss against Notre Dame (23-27, 11-13 ACC) on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles struck first in the second inning. Holly Paharik opened the frame with a single up the middle before Nicole Riddell drove her home with an RBI triple. Katelyn Deguire followed with an RBI single to give BC the early advantage. Notre Dame answered in the bottom half of the inning, plating a run of its own to cut into the lead.

Going into the fifth inning Notre Dame held a 5-2 lead, the Eagles loaded the bases in the fifth but were unable to plate a run. The Irish ended the game in the fifth with five runs in the bottom of the inning for a 10-2 win.

UP NEXT

The Eagles return home for their final series of the season as they host No. 12 Florida State. The three-game set begins Friday, May 1, at 4 p.m. on ACCNX. The final two games of the regular season will air on ACC Network, with first pitch set for 4 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday. Sunday's matchup will also serve as Senior Day.
