Quintayvious Hutchins Drafted By New England Patriots

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Eagles defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins was selected in the seventh round (247th overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Ahead of the 2025 season, Hutchins was named a team captain for the first time in his career. He played in 10 games with nine starts at defensive end for the Eagles, totaling 35 tackles, seven quarterback hits and two sacks.

Last season, Hutchins played in all 13 of Boston College's games, making seven starts at defensive end. He finished with 31 tackles, eight quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

Hutchins spent his entire five-year career at Boston College, appearing in 40 career games with 16 starts at defensive end.

Back-to-back years a BC defensive end was drafted, with Donovan Ezeiruaku being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round (44th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft.
