Josiah Griffin Named to 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

Eagles redshirt junior one of 16 ACC nominees
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Eagles defensive lineman Josiah Griffin was named to the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, the organization announced Monday.Â
A four-year member of the Boston College Football program, Griffin has played in 18 career games for the Eagles, totaling three tackles, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. In addition, the two-time All-ACC Academic Team member recorded his first interception after deflecting a pass vs. SMU last season.Â
Griffin has played an integral part in several key community service initiatives throughout his time on The Heights over the last four seasons:
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team reflects Allstate's longstanding commitment to supporting student-athletes who strengthen their communities through service. In total, 162 student-athletes around the country were recognized for leadership in service, academics and athletics.Â

- Team IMPACT, Quincy, MA - Weekly in-season participation and the Team IMPACT Field Day this past June.
- The Beautiful Lives Project - Participated in "Field of Dreams" event in June, allowing dozens of individuals with special needs and full-time care to share the field with him and other members of the Eagles program.Â
- Adopt-A-Child - Helped the Boston College Football program raise thousands of dollars for children and families in need.Â
