Eagles hold second Saturday practice session this spring
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Day six of spring practice for the 2026 Boston College football program was held Saturday afternoon. Gregory P. Barber '69 and Family Head Coach Bill O'Brien led a two-plus-hour practice session for the Eagles, which included multiple competitive goal-line periods.
After practice, defensive tackle Chris Marable Jr. and linebacker Bodie Kahoun met with the media.
The defensive backs started Saturday's practice strong, with Isaiah Farris breaking up a pass in the end zone and TJ Green disrupting a would-be touchdown across the middle. Wide receiver Nedrick Boldin Jr. responded with a 25-yard over-the-shoulder touchdown reception from Mason McKenzie.
The Notre Dame transfer Kahoun doesn't take the group he shares the field with for granted.
"Everyone is here for each other. We all love each other. We're a brotherhood, and it's been great to be here so far."
The 2025 Wake Forest transfer Marable Jr. kept the defensive energy high with a pair of tackles for loss to begin team periods Saturday. The passing game settled in as the periods progressed, with Bo MacCormack III hauling in a pass out of the backfield and racing down the sideline. Colgate transfer Reed Swanson later made a contested catch along the sideline.
After a Kameron Howard interception sent the team to the goal line for the final two periods, the offense ended the day on a high note. Running backs Nolan Ray and Mekhi Dodd found the end zone on back-to-back plays, while tight ends Danny Edgehille and Cameron Kossmann each added a touchdown to close the session.
Eagles defensive lineman Marable Jr. understands the caliber of quarterbacks he faces daily in practice.
"We've definitely done a good thing with the quarterbacks. I'm excited to see them compete, and I'm excited to see what they bring this season."
The Eagles return to the practice field Tuesday morning to begin week three of spring practice. Practices are closed to the public.
