Track and Field Ready for ACC Indoor Championships

Eagles will compete at the TRACK at New Balance, starting Thursday morning
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Men's Track and Field Team is set to compete in the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, held February 26-28 at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. The three-day event begins at 11 a.m. with the field events, followed by running events at 4:05 p.m., all streaming on ACCNX.

The men's team will face two teams ranked in the USTFCCCA National Poll, led by No. 8 Virginia and No. 15 Virginia Tech

The Eagles also have multiple runners that currently rank amongst the best nationally, led by Theodor Schucht in the 3000m (7:49.03, 36th) and the DMR group of Colin Peattie, Owen Pett, Jack Higgins and Mateo Bianchi (9:45.20, 38th).

Boston College will have eight athletes competing across the championship, competing in a total of nine events. The Eagles will look to earn a spot in the finals of the mile and 800m following Friday's action.

The Atlantic Coast Conference will crown individual event champions and award the Women's team titles at the conclusion of Saturday's events. The top six finishers in each individual event and the top three relay teams will earn All-ACC honors, with the top three individuals and first-place relay named first team, and individuals placing fourth through sixth and second and third-place relays earning second-team recognition.

Each session will be available to stream live on ACC Network Extra. Live results can be found via Flash Results.

Athletes will also look to improve their times to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, held March 12-14 at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
