BC and UConn set for weekend series
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 12/13 Boston College men's hockey team takes on No. 10/11 UConn this weekend in a pair of Hockey East matchups. The series begins Friday night at Kelley Rink at 7:00 p.m. on NESN. The two teams face off in a Saturday matinee at PeoplesBank Arena at 3:00 p.m. on ESPN+. Both games can be heard on WEEI 850 AM.
SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles are 17-10-1 overall and 11-7-0 in Hockey East
• The Huskies are 17-7-4 overall and 11-5-2 in league play
• BC is ranked No. 12 in the USCHO poll and No. 13 in the USA Hockey poll
• UConn sits at No. 10 in the USCHO poll and No. 11 in the USA Hockey poll
CANCER AWARENESS GAME
• Boston College men's hockey is teaming up with Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute to support the fight against cancer and will be hosting its Cancer Awareness Game this Friday against the Huskies

SPLIT WITH MERRIMACK
• Boston College and Merrimack split the series last weekend, with each team winning 4-2 at home
• Dean Letourneau and James Hagens both scored on Friday, with Letourneau scoring BC's first short-handed goal of the season
• J. Hagens added another goal and an assist in Saturday's victory
• Brady Berard, Oscar Hemming, and Aram Minnetian each scored in the win
• Hemming scored his first collegiate goal, also the game-winner, with 36 seconds remaining
THE EAGLES
• J. Hagens leads the Eagles in scoring with 34 points on 17 goals and 17 assists
• Letourneau is tied for the team lead in goals with 17 and is second in points with 29
• Luka Radivojevic, Jake Sondreal, and Teddy Stiga are all tied for second on the team in assists with 14

• On Monday, J. Hagens was named the Hockey East Boston Children's Hospital Player of the Week following a five-point week, including a two-assist performance over BU to help the Eagles win its first Beanpot Championship since 2016
A LOOK AT UCONN
• The Huskies are coming off a 1-0-1 weekend at Maine. UConn picked up a 2-0 win in the first game before skating to a 3-3 tie on Saturday and winning the shootout to earn the extra point in the league standings
• Ryan Tattle leads the Huskies in scoring with 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists
• Joey Muldowney has a team-high 15 goals
• Jake Richard is third on the team in points (23) and second in assists (15)
• Tyler Muszelik has started 25 games in goal for UConn and has a 2.01 goals against average and a .935 save percentage
• Muszelik was named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week following a 82-save weekend against Maine
