Birdball Hosts Baseball Night on Fenway

BOSTON - On Thursday, January 29th, Boston College Baseball held their 34th annual Baseball Night at Fenway Park.

Sam Kennedy, President and CEO of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group, served as the event's keynote speaker. Chris Kowalski '10 returned to MC to host the event for a second consecutive year. The 2026 Pellagrini award was given to Joe Kealty '01 in recognition of his contributions to the program. Greg Fulginite '98 presented the award to Kealty. The Sonny Nictakis number eight jersey was also presented during the night to senior left-handed pitcher, A.J. Colarusso. Colarusso exemplifies the qualities by which Sonny lived his life: humble, confident, ethical, respectful, unselfish, and committed to excellence. Other honorees were Mickey Wiswall '10, who was recognized for his October induction into the Boston College Victory Club Hall of Fame. Four members of the current 2026 team, Nick Wang, Sean Hard, Carter Hendrickson, and Kyle Wolff, all spoke on a student panel. The event wrapped up with remarks from head coach, Todd Interdonato.
