Eagles officially halfway through indoor season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Men's Track and Field gears up for two meets this weekend, starting with the Harvard Invitational at Gordon Indoor Track on Friday, January 30. The team then returns to the BU Track & Tennis Center on Saturday, January 31, to compete in the John Thomas Terrier Classic.

Last week, the Eagles set several personal bests and top ten marks at the Scarlet & White Invitational. The Distance Medley Relay team highlighted the event, as Colin Peattie, Owen Pett, Jack Higgins, and Mateo Bianchi won the event with a time of 9:45.20. That mark currently sits fourth in the NCAA and sixth in Boston College program history. Sean Fleming, Peattie, Higgins, and Pett added personal bests individually, with Pett's time in the 500m (1:04.70) putting him ninth all-time in the BC record book.

Boston College recorded several top-ten marks at last year's John Thomas Terrier Classic, including a school record in the mile from Steven Jackson (3:54.70).

Following this weekend, the team takes on the River Hawk Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance on February 6 and 7.
