Segalla Breaks Her Third School Record at Scarlet & White Invitational

Six Eagles set personal best at BU Track & Tennis Center
BOSTON, Mass – Boston College Women's Track & Field continued its momentum from last weekend at Harvard. Sydney Segalla logged her third school record of the indoor season at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational at BU Saturday.

- Anna Sonsini continued her strong start to the indoor season. She finished third in the 60m with a time of 7.58. Sydney Segalla was next to finish, setting a personal best of 7.70 for eighth place. Ava Carter (7.76) and Anna Becker (7.90) also competed, placing in the top-20.
- Gabrielle Hamel debuted in the mile, where she finished in 15th place overall after running a 5:02.88. Following close behind were Ellie Buckley (5:03.68) and Kylie Wild (5:07.31), who both set personal bests in the event.
- In the 400m, Kyla Palmer sprinted her way to fifth place overall, clocking a personal best of 55.54. Palmer's time cleared her previous best by over two seconds and put her sixth on the all-time record list.
- Yaroslava Yalysovetska battled her way to ninth overall in the 800m, crossing the line at 2:10.95. Claire Crowley also competed, running a 2:13.90 to finish 14th.
- Hanna Hollins displayed another strong run in the 1000m. She won the event with a personal best time of 2:45.76. That mark places her fourth in the all-time record book. Iris Bergman finished close behind in seventh, running a 2:49.18.
- Segalla closed the meet in style and ran a school record time of 23.55 in the 200m to win the event. Anna Sonsini moved to second all-time in the event after running a 24.01, a personal best, for third place. Anna Becker logged a personal best of 24.73 for eighth place in the event.
