BC Welcomes Siena to Newton on Monday

The Eagles look to move to 2-0 to start the season
NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College men's soccer is set to take on Siena Monday evening in non-conference action at the Newton Soccer Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the game will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
SEASON-OPENING WIN
• Boston College opened the 2025 season on Thursday with a 1-0 win over Binghamton
• Johannes Hanken Tjostheim scored his first goal for the Eagles in the 29th minute of play, proving to be the difference
• Ask Ekeland picked up his first point of the season with an assist on the goal
• Andrej Borak recorded his first clean sheet in his first collegiate start, making a crucial save in the 86th minute to keep the Bearcats off the board
THE RETURNERS
• Boston College returns nine players that appeared in 14 or more games during the 2024 campaign, including five that played in all 17 matches
• Last season's leading goalscorer and All-ACC Second Team honoree Ekeland is back for his second season with the Eagles
• BC returns a defensive unit that includes two players that played in all 17 matches along with two players that appeared in 16 matches
FRESH FACES
• The Eagles have 13 additions to this season's roster
• BC brought in seven transfers, five freshmen, and one grad student
PRESEASON ACCOLADES
• Ziad Abdul-Malak earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch list after earning Second Team All-Region Honors in 2024 with Le Moyne
• Ekeland was named to the ACC Players to Watch list

• The Saints fell to No. 8 UMass in the opener by a score of 3-2
• Miguel Plaza and Campbell Stalker each scored for Siena
