- Abbey Herod is one of five Eagles with Dempsey Arsenault, Charlotte North, Sam Apuzzo and Hollie Schleicher to post 100-plus draw controls in a season.
-Â Shea Dolce had her 11th game with double-digit saves, while she is eight stops from becoming one of two goalkeepers (Megan McElvogue) to have 200 saves in a season.
-Â Mckenna Davis has a career-high 100 points, joining Clark (125) and LoPinto (108) to have 100 points this season.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - EIGHTH STRAIGHT YEAR! For the eighth consecutive season, Boston College lacrosse is headed to the national semifinals after an 18-11 win over Yale on Thursday evening at the Newton Soccer & Lacrosse Field.
The Eagles will be in their backyard at Gillette Stadium, facing Northwestern next Friday in a rematch of the last two national titles.
BC was trailing 6-5 late in the first half until LoPinto took over with five straight goals to push the Eagles to a 10-6 lead, including four goals in the final 6:44 of the second period.
The run continued in the third when Morgan Smith found the back of the net, followed by three more goals from Clark, capping off a 9-0 run. The defense held Yale scoreless for over 20 minutes until the 3:45 mark of the third period.
Boston College pulled away for the win, capturing a 16th straight win when hosting the NCAA Tournament.
Clark led the offense with eight goals, while LoPinto registered five goals and one helper for six points. Mckenna Davis dished out six assists with one score and seven points.
Dolce stopped 12 shots for a .522 save percentage, while Shea Baker posted four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Morgan Smith tallied a pair of caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Giulia Colarusso and Herod led the way with four draw controls.
