Eagles Drop Series Finale to No. 17 North Carolina

BC resumes action this Tuesday afternoon at Connecticut
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (9-10, 2-5 ACC) fell 10-0 in seven innings No. 17 North Carolina (17-5, 3-4 ACC), to conclude the weekend series on Sunday afternoon.
North Carolina logged two in the first and five in the second, taking a 7-0 lead into the third inning. Peter Schaefer relieved Eric Schroeder in the second and retired the first four batters he saw, striking out two to stifle the early UNC rally and keep it at 7-0 after three. Schaefer turned in a strong relief outing, striking out three over 2.1 scoreless frames.
The Tar Heels added one each in the fifth, sixth, and seventh, and held a 10-0 lead after seven innings, ending the game. Schroeder took the loss (1-3) for BC, while Aidan Haugh earned the win (3-2) for No. 17 North Carolina.
The Eagles will resume action with a road game at UConn this Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
