CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (9-10, 2-5 ACC) fell 5-1 to No. 17 North Carolina (17-5, 3-4 ACC) in game one of the weekend series on Friday night.

Nick Wang entered to pinch hit in the seventh and got one back for BC, with a deep sacrifice fly to left field to make it a 3-1 game after seven full. North Carolina responded with a two-run home run in the eighth, going up 5-1, where the score would hold. Colarusso was issued the loss for BC (1-2) with Jake Knapp earning the win for UNC (4-0).
