
Lacrosse Earns ACC Win Over Louisville

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's lacrosse earned a wire-to-wire 18-5 win over Louisville on Saturday afternoon in Alumni Stadium.
The Eagles won an 18th straight game dating back to last season, improving to 10-0. Louisville falls to 4-5 on the season and 1-3 in the league.
Career days were had for the Eagles, as Rachel Clark netted a personal-high nine points with six goals and three assists. Molly Driscoll registered a personal-best five goals, while Morgan Smith carded a career-high nine draw controls, leading a draw unit with a 17-8 advantage in the circle.
BC wasted no time in getting off to a fast start, scoring the first three goals of the game capped off by a Maria Themelis score. The Cardinals answered with a goal of their own before the hosts reeled off three more, extending the lead to five goals at the end of the first.
Mia Mascone led the charge in the second quarter, scoring all three of her goals in the period. The Eagles outscored the Cardinals by six in the frame en route to a 13-2 lead at the break.
The Eagles cruised to the victory, while Emma LoPinto and Giulia Colarusso scored the final two goals of the game to give BC the 13-goal win.
Shea Dolce registered seven saves and a .583 save percentage. Lydia Colasante registered two caused turnovers, two ground balls, and four draw controls. Shea Baker finished with three draw controls, one CT, and one GB.
BC has a quick turnaround on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. matchup at Brown in Providence.
