
Eagles Welcome Louisville for Morgan's Message Game

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse returns to ACC action on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Alumni Stadium when it hosts Louisville in the Morgan's Message Game.Â

About the Eagles
Last Time Out
Albany's early 1-0 lead was short-lived when the Eagles reeled off six straight goals to capture a commanding lead, with five players scoring during the surge that stretched into the second quarter. 'BC went into the half with a 10-2 advantage after tacking on three more before the break. The Eagles cruised to victory, outscoring the Great Danes 10-4 in the second half, allowing just one goal each period.Â
By the Numbers
1 - Shea Baker is the only player in the nation with at least 15 caused turnovers, 15 ground balls, and 40 draw controls.Â
2 - Baker and Lydia Colasante (13 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers, 32 draw controls) is the only duo in the country to have at least 10 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and 30 draw controls.Â

Dynamic Draws
The Eagles are second in the ACC averaging16.7 draw controls per game this season, which is also ninth in the nation. BC's 67.6 draw control percentage is six percentage points higher than last season and the highest since 2019. Abbey Herod (48 draw controls), Baker (40 draw controls) and Colasante (32 draw controls) are the only trio in the league with at least 30 DCs.Â
Protecting the Rock
Boston College has done a stellar job this season protecting the ball, where its 19.6 percent turnover rate is second in the nation. The Eagles have yet to turn the ball over more than 15 times in a game, and has four games with under 10 miscues.Â
Shea Stepping Up
Dolce is on a career-long four-game streak with 10 or more saves, where she has a .691 save percentage during the stretch with 47 saves. For the season, the junior is second in the nation and first in the ACC with a .565 save percentage and second in the ACC (third in the country) with a 6.55 goals against average.Â
Scouting Louisville (4-4, 1-2 ACC)
- The Cardinals are coming off a 16-7 setback to Virginia Tech last Saturday. Negai Nakazawa led the team with four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in the loss, while Lauren Figas scored a hat trick with three goals.Â
- Three of Louisville's losses have been by single digits, while seven of the games have been decided by nine or fewer goals.Â
- Nakazawa leads the team with 17 points thanks to 10 goals and seven assists, while Reese Whiteman has a team-high 13 goals.Â
