Beanpot Championship: Battle of Comm Ave Round Three

No. 1 Eagles make first appearance in the Beanpot Championship game since 2019
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Round three of the Battle of Comm Ave is set to take place on Monday evening as No. 1 Boston College and No. 8 Boston University meet for the Beanpot Championship game at 7:30 p.m. inside TD Garden. The game will be available to watch on NESN, ESPN+ and TSN3/5 along with a radio broadcast on WEEI 850 AM.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles improved to 21-4-1 overall on Friday with a 4-2 victory over New Hampshire
• BC is currently on an nine-game winning streak that includes wins over Merrimack, Harvard, Providence (2x), Boston University (2x), UMass Lowell, Northeastern and New Hampshire
• Boston College has outscored its opponents 92-44 this season, including 37-10 in the third period

• The Eagles defeated Northeastern on this past Monday in the semifinals of the 72nd Dunkin' Men's Beanpot by a score of 8-2

• BC scored three unanswered goals in the third period on Friday to overturn a 2-1 deficit and defeat New Hampshire 4-2

• Fowler stopped 19 shots
