
A Four Goal Second Period Lift BC Past Vermont

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No.15 Boston College women's hockey team defeated the Vermont Catamounts 7-1 on Thursday evening.
Vermont got on the board early. Five minutes into the game, the Catamounts scored a power-play goal. The Eagles tied the game 14 minutes into the first frame, and Gaby Roy found the back of the net during the power play.
Boston College got the offense rolling early in the second period. Jade Arnone found the back of the net 24 seconds to give the Eagles their first lead. Olivia Maffeo added the Eagles lead five minutes into the period. Kaite Pyne added BC's second power play goal of the night at 9:08. Molly Jordan notched Boston College's fourth goal of the period giving the Eagles a 5-1 lead heading into the final frame.
Abby Newhook got the Eagle's sixth goal off the night six minutes into the third period. Kate Ham had the final goal of the night to give the Eagles the 7-1 victory over Vermont.
