Redshirt freshman Jayden Hastings has steadily improved throughout his first season of college basketball
As a starter (3G), Hastings is averaging 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks while shooting 64.3% from the floor.
Against Louisville on Feb. 5. Hastings tied his season-best with nine boards and logged two blocked shots.
Hastings has nine games with at least two blocked shots - the most by a BC freshman since Sean Williams posted 16 multi-block games during his freshman campaign in 2004-05.
In his first collegiate start on Dec. 21 against SMU, Hastings scored a season-high nine points in 29 minutes played.
He made 3-of-6 shots from the floor and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe, to go along with five boards and a blocked shot.
For the season overall Hastings is connecting on 56.5% from the floor and has logged 28 total blocked shots.
Among all ACC freshmen with at least 39 FGM, Hastings ranks fourth in the conference in field goal percentage.

BRINGING THE BOOM
