BOSTON COLLEGE VS. NOTRE DAME - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game marks the 46th meeting between the two schools. Boston College is 17-28 all-time vs. Notre Dame on the hardwood.
- The Eagles are 7-16 vs. the Irish in ACC play but have won the four of the last five - and six of the last eight - meetings on the hardwood.
- Earlier this season, ND earned a 78-60 win at the Joyce Center.
- A season ago, the Eagles swept the regular season series for the second straight year, winning, 63-59, at BC and 61-58 at ND.
- In 2022-23, BC swept the season series for the first time in 26 years.
- The two teams held serve on their respective home courts in 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22. BC is 6-15 at Notre Dame.
- From 1995-2005, the two teams were members of the Big East. BC compiled a 5-7 mark against the Irish in those 12 matchups.

- Over his last four games, Donald Hand Jr. has scored 104 points - good for an average of 26.0 points per game.
- Hand scored 26 in an overtime loss at North Carolina, before pouring in a career-high 31 points in a comeback win over FSU.
- He had 19 points in a home loss to Louisville before tallying 28 in a triple-overtime loss at Syracuse.
- Hand has 33 made field goals over the stretch, including 19 3-pointers at nearly a 47% clip.
- The last BC player to score at least 100 points over a four-game span: Jerome Robinson (131) between Feb. 6-17, 2018.
- Included in that four-game scoring explosion by Robinson was a 46-point performance at Notre Dame on Feb. 6, 2018.
- Other 100+ points in four games performances: Olivier Hanlan tallied 114 points over a four-game stretch from Feb. 18-28, 2015, while Tyrese Rice (104) did so from March 1-13, 2008. Troy Bell recorded 118 points from Feb. 26-March 8, 2003.
- Hand leads BC in scoring (16.2) this season and has more than tripled his scoring average year-over-year.

- Prior to the Syracuse game, the only other time Boston College had played a triple overtime game came on March 13, 1966 in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament at Madison Square Garden. The Eagles beat Louisville, 96-90.
- In that game, Steve Adelman led BC with 32 points while Willie Wolters added 19 points and 26 rebounds.

- ACC Overall: Donald Hand Jr. ranks ninth in scoring (16.2), 14th in rebounding (6.6) and second in FT percentage (.874).
- Hand is one of three players to rank in the top 15 in scoring and rebounding in the conference.
- Maxime Raynaud (Stanford) and Cooper Flagg (Duke) are the others.
- Hand ranks second in the ACC and seventh nationally among major conference guards in rebounding.
- Hand also ranks sixth in the ACC in 3-pointers made, averaging 2.3 3FGM per game. (53 total).
- Chad Venning sits in second in the ACC - and 44th nationally - in field goal percentage, connecting on 55.1% of his shots.
- Venning is also sixth in the ACC in blocked shots, averaging 1.41 swats per outing.
- Jayden Hastings is ninth in the ACC in blocks, swatting 1.22 shots per game so far this season.

BEADLE'S BUZZER-BEATING BUCKETS
- Nine of the 16 3-pointers from Joshua Beadle this season have come with 10 seconds or less on the shot or game clock.
- Included in those nine was the game-winning 3FG as time expired vs. Boise State in the Cayman Islands Classic title game.
- The grad transfer guard has made 16-of-29 attempts from the perimeter this season at Boston College (55.2%).

DONALD HAND JR. - YEAR-OVER-YEAR IMPROVEMENTS
- Donald Hand Jr. has shown a major statistical leap from a season ago.
- Hand is averaging better than +11 in scoring average and nearly a +5.0 jump in rebounding per game this season, compared to 2023-24.
- Using the metric PAR (points+assists+rebounds), he has seen nearly a +17 jump year-over-year and nearly a +10.0 increase when measured per 40 minutes.
- Hand has already surpassed his 2023-24 totals in points, rebounds, assists.
- After a season-ending injury game two as a true freshman, his first significant playing time came during the 2023-24 season.
- Hand was named ACC Player of the Week twice this season (Dec. 30; Feb. 3).
HASTINGS MAKING AN IMPACT
- Redshirt freshman Jayden Hastings has made the most of his three starts so far this season.
- Against Louisville on Feb. 5. Hastings tied his season-best with nine boards and logged two blocked shots.
- So far in 2024-25, he has nine games with at least two blocked shots - the most by a BC freshman since Sean Williams posted 16 multi-block games during his freshman campaign in 2004-05.
- In his first collegiate start on Dec. 21 against SMU, Hastings scored a season-high nine points in 29 minutes played.
- He made 3-of-6 shots from the floor and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe, to go along with five boards and a blocked shot.
- He earned the start at Syracuse, playing 14 minute and connecting on both of his attempts from the field.
- As a starter (3G), Hastings is averaging 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks while shooting 64.3% from the floor.
- For the season overall Hastings is connecting on 55.4% from the floor and has logged 28 total blocked shots.
HIGH-PERCENTAGE VENNING
- Over his last 10 games, Chad Venning is averaging 15.0 ppg and connecting on nearly 60% of his FG attempts.
- On Jan. 25, he scored 17 points (7-12 FG) in 30 minutes at UNC. Venning tied his season-high - 19 points - vs. #3/3 Duke.
- He had 17 points (7-13 FG) on Jan. 11 against Syracuse. On Jan. 14, he scored 19 points (8-15 FG) at Georgia Tech.
- In the comeback win over Miami, Venning tallied 17 points (7-10), scoring 11 straight points for the Eagles in the first half.
- He ranks second in the ACC in overall FG percentage (.551); his .552 mark in ACC play is third-best in the league.
BRINGING THE BOOM
- Boston College has registered 10 or more 3-pointers on eight occasions, including a season-high 14 at North Carolina.
- Through 23 games this season, the Eagles have made 157 3-pointers at a 35.8% clip.
- The 35.8% 3-point proficiency mark ranks eighth in the ACC and 86th nationally.
- In ACC play, Boston College has connected on 38.7% of its long-distance attempts - fourth-best in the league.
- Donald Hand Jr. leads BC with 53 3FGM at a 39.8% clip; Joshua Beadle (55.2%) leads the team in percentage.
HAND EARNS SECOND ACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
- One Feb. 3, Donald Hand Jr. was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season. He also won the award on Dec. 30.
- He becomes the first Boston College player to garner weekly conference honors twice since Jerome Robinson did so in 2016-17 and 2017-18 - and the first Eagle win the award twice in the same season since Reggie Jackson during the 2010-11 campaign.
- The 6-6 guard poured in a career-high 31 points to go along with nine rebounds in a thrilling 77-76 comeback win over Florida State.
- He drilled a career-best six 3-pointers and was 9-9 from the foul line.
- Earlier this season on Dec. 30, history was made as Hand and his father became the first father-son duo to each earn ACC Player of the Week honors in their respective careers.
- Donald Hand Sr. was the recipient of the ACC's top weekly player award on Jan. 31, 2000 while starring at Virginia.
SHARING IS CARING
- Boston College dished out a season-high 20 assists at North Carolina on Jan. 25.
- Joshua Beadle led BC with six assists, while Chad Venning, Dion Brown, and Donald Hand Jr. each had three dimes.
- It marked the first time since Feb. 10, 2024 (vs. Duke) that at least four Eagles logged three or more assists in a single game.

- Roger McFarlane has grabbed at least six rebounds in 31 of his last 45 games played, dating back to Dec. 16, 2023.
- He has had at least six rebounds in 70 of his 114 career games - better than 60% of his games played.
- McFarlane has grabbed at least six boards in eight games this season; BC is 6-2 in those games.
