Eagles Set All-Time Records at BU & Battle at New Balance

Men earn several top finishes at BU and New Balance
BOSTON, Mass – Boston College Men's Track & Field began the indoor season at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener and Early Bird Invite at New Balance on Saturday.
Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener
- Max Deane began the meet with a heat win in the 60m dash prelim. The sophomore set a new personal best of 6.96, the second fastest 60m time in program history.
- Cruz Brown took first place in the 800m race with a time of 1:51.97.
- Owen Pett finished fifth in the 800m Invitational, setting a personal best time of 1:50.33. That mark puts him third on the BC top ten list.
- Colin Peattie ran a 4:01.19, finishing fourth overall in the mile for a personal best and the third fastest time in program history. Jack Higgins (4:06.33) beat his previous best by three seconds, setting the eighth fastest time in program history.
- Sean Fleming ran the 3000m, crossing the finish line at 8:33.63
- Theodor Schucht led all Eagles in the 5000m, finishing in 70th with a time of 13:57.36.
Early Bird Invite at the TRACK at New Balance
- Aidan McHugh won the 800m race, finishing with a 1:56.52 in his first collegiate race.
- Jack Morelli set a personal best in the mile, finishing fourth with a time of 4:20.80.
Next Up: The Eagles return for the Suffolk Ice Breaker Challenge at the TRACK at New Balance on January 18.
