NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College men's soccer ended its three-game winless skid with a 5-0 victory over American International College on Tuesday afternoon at the Newton Soccer Complex.

Nikolai Rojel led the way with two goals and one assist, while Ask Ekeland, Dylan Mafong, and Johannes Hanken Tjostheim each scored once. Patrick Donovan made one save to earn the shutout.
Ekeland opened the scoring just 44 seconds into the match with his third goal of the campaign. Rojel flicked a pass into the box towards the endline to Erick Almendares, who cut the ball back across to Ekeland for the one-timer from the penalty spot.
Holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, the Eagles kicked it up a notch, putting home three goals in the second frame.
Rojel started the second half scoring in the 53rd with his first goal of the year, and first as an Eagle. Aidan Farwell curled in a corner kick from the left side, finding Rojel for the header at the back post.
BC scored their next two goals just two minutes apart, with Mafong curling in an effort from the top of the box into the top left corner of the net, followed by Rojel scoring his second header of the day.
