Lacrosse Aims to Bounce Back Against Virginia Tech

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse aims for a bounce-back win on Sunday when it hosts Virginia Tech at 11 a.m. in Fish Fieldhouse.Â

Boston College fell in the highly-anticipated national championship rematch on Thursday to Northwestern, 14-11. Rachel Clark stepped up with five goals and an assist for a game-high six points. Kayla Martello registered two goals and a helper. Emma LoPinto totaled three points ( 2 G, 1 A) and Mckenna Davis dished out three assists. A quick start for Northwestern led to a 3-0 lead halfway through the first period. Martello scored both of her goals in back-to-back fashion to slice the gap to one. However, the Wildcats found the back of the net four more times to go into the second with a 7-2 lead.Â

- Give BC a 6-1 mark and 2-0 record in the ACC.
- Improve BC's record to 24-0 when coming off a loss since 2017. The Eagles have lost back-to-back games in the same season since 2016.
