BC Claims Opening Win In The Eagle Round Robin

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.--Â Â Boston College Softball defeated Holy Cross with a 3-2 victory at the Harrington Athletics Village, Friday night. The Eagles had 6 hits on 23 at bats, including 2 RBI from Maycee Hilt.Â
The Eagles got the momentum going late in the fourth inning with runners on first and second. Hilt hit a double bringing home both runners. The Eagles continued to score in the fifth off of a Nicole Giery double bringing Hannah Slike through home plate.Â
The Crusaders were able to respond in the sixth adding two runs, but were unable to close the gap.
Abby Dunning had the pitching save allowing just one hit and dishing out four strikeouts in 1.2 innings.Â
The Eagles return to action tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. to face-off Iona for the first time in program history at the Harrington Athletics Village.
