CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Top-ranked Boston College lost to rival and No. 3 Boston University in the Beanpot Semifinal at TD Garden, 4-3, on Monday night. The Eagles return home on Friday night to host No. 17 New Hampshire for a 7 p.m. contest on ESPN+ at Kelley Rink. After a Monday game that marked the third match-up between BC and BU in 11 days, the Eagles and Wildcats take the ice for the first time in 474 days; having last met Oct. 23, 2022. BC had a five-game win streak snapped on Monday; the longest such streak since an eight-game win streak between February 10 and March 6, 2020.

• Cutter Gauthier had a career-best 14-game point streak, with a 11-10-21 scoring line, snapped against BU (2/5) at the Beanpot.
• His 14-game streak surpassed Maine's Josh Nadeau for the longest in the country this season, which is also the longest in Hockey East since 2018-19.
