
Offense Explodes for 23 in Win Over Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The No. 1 ranked Eagles rolled to a 23-2 win over Robert Morris on Thursday afternoon at Joe Walton Stadium.Â
BC improves to 4-0 on the season while the Colonials are 0-3.Â
It was all BC from the first draw, as Mckenna Davis and Rachel Clark combined for four goals in the first 4:15 of the frame.Â
BC scored 13 of its goals in the first quarter to capture a commanding lead. Eight different players found the back of the net in a balanced attack.Â
Four more goals in the second capped off by a Kit Arrix score led BC to a 17-1 halftime lead. The Eagles tacked on two more thanks to Abbey Herod scoring both goals in the third, leading BC to a 19-1 advantage.Â
Kylee Colbert scored twice and both Elizabeth Kirk and Lacey Downey scored for the first time in their collegiate careers in the final period. The 21-goal margin is the largest win in program history and the 23 goals is the fourth most in a single game.Â
Thirteen players scored, while Belle Smith tallied four scores with one assist for a season-high five points. Clark registered her third hat trick in as many games and Davis rattled off two goals and three assists for five points.Â
Cassidy Weeks registered two goals, an assist, three draw controls, and Emma LoPinto tallied three points with two ground balls. Downey also posted two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Ryan Smith tied the team lead with three DCs.
Shea Dolce registered the win between the posts, and Emily English saw 45 minutes of action in the net.Â
BC opens up ACC play at Pittsburgh on Saturday at 11 a.m. to round out the three-game road swing.Â
