CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - No. 2 Boston College lacrosse hosts No. 23 UAlbany on Wednesday at 3 p.m. inside Fish Field House on ACC Network Extra.Â

The Eagles wasted no time in getting off to a fast start in a 20-9 season-opening win over then-No. 20 UMass on Friday. Nine different Eagles registered a goal with four recording hat tricks. The defense was just as impressive with nine caused turnovers and 17 ground balls. Ryan Smith and Hunter Roman led the team with a pair of caused turnovers, while Shea Dolce led the team with five ground balls on top of her six saves. Shea Baker collected a personal-best five draw controls with one goal and a caused turnover. Cassidy Weeks totaled four draw controls, three scores, one caused turnover and one ground ball. Emma LoPinto showcased an impressive debut with four goals and an assist for five points. Mckenna Davis turned in a game-high six points with two goals and four assists.Â

LoPinto was the first newcomer since 2013 to tally at least five points in their debut for BC. In addition, the junior made Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays after an impressive BTB goal. Also making their first appearances were Molly Driscoll, Becky Browndorf, Julia Greene, Lydia Colasante, Kylee Colbert, Lacey Downey and Ali Petrone.Â

The defense registered nine caused turnovers and 17 ground balls, while Shea Dolce totaled six saves. BC also won the draw, 21-11. Shea Baker recorded a career-high five draw controls and Weeks registered four. BC was 8-1 last season recording at least nine caused turnovers.Â
