Eagles Hit the Road for Sunday Showdown Against Syracuse

The Eagles earned a gritty 70-64 win over Miami on Thursday to pick up their first ACC win of the season.Andrea Daley was at it again, scoring 13 of her game-high 17 points in the second half on 7-of-10 shooting with eight rebounds. Teya Sidberry battled her way to 16 points, eight rebounds and totaled three steals with two blocks. T'yana Todd scored 13 points with a pair of trifectas, while Dontavia Waggoner tallied 12 with a season-high nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Kaylah Ivey dished out a game-high seven assists with eight points and a pair of swipes. After Miami sliced a seven-point deficit in the fourth to 63-62 with 3:41 left in the game, Sidberry hit back-to-back jumpers to push the lead to five. BC held Miami scoreless over the final 1:48 after the Hurricanes scored to close the gap to three on the ensuing possession. The defense came up with key stops, including a steal from Ivey, and later forced Miami to miss a field goal while holding a 67-64 lead. BC sealed its seventh straight home win by hitting three of four at the charity stripe.
