Women's Basketball Adds Nuria Ausaverri to Roster

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College women's basketball has announced the addition of forward Nuria Ausaverri to the roster.

She is a versatile player who can play both on the perimeter and in the post, and she will transition seamlessly into our offense. Nuria has also represented Spain at the national level, and her highly competitive background will enhance our growing culture. Welcome to BC!"
A native of Madrid, Spain, Ausaverri joins the Eagles after a decorated youth basketball career in her home country. The 6'1 forward played at Maristas San Jose del Parque in Madrid and competed for several top clubs throughout Spain, including Movistar Estudiantes, Real Canoe, Zentro Basket, and Baloncesto Torrelodones.
She most recently competed with Baloncesto Torrelodones, where she helped the club capture the Madrid championship in 2024-25 and finish third at the Club National Tournament of Spain. In 2025-26, she helped Torrelodones finish second in Madrid while earning another appearance at the Club National Tournament of Spain.
Before her time with Torrelodones, Ausaverri spent two seasons with Real Canoe in Madrid. During the 2021-22 season, she helped the club claim the Madrid championship and advance to the Club National Tournament of Spain. In 2022-23, Real Canoe finished third in Madrid, while Ausaverri earned recognition as the three-point champion at the School Championship and again competed at the Club National Tournament of Spain.
Ausaverri began her club career with Movistar Estudiantes from 2018-21 before joining Real Canoe and later Zentro Basket during the 2023-24 season. Ausaverri has represented Madrid and Spain on the international stage. She earned selections to the Madrid State Team at the National Tournament of Spain at the U14 level and helped the U16 Madrid State Team capture the national championship. She has also earned multiple Spain National Team appearances, including a U17 summer call-up in 2025, a U18 3x3 summer call-up in 2025, and participation in the U18 3x3 European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje, Macedonia. She received another U18 Spain National Team summer call-up in 2026.
A native of Madrid, Ausaverri is the daughter of Gloria Galdon and Manuel Ausaverri. She has two brothers, Manuel Ausaverri and Miguel Ausaverri.
