Eagles Travel to NC State for First ACC Matchup of the Season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Eagles hit the road for the second time of the 2023 season on Friday night when they travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to face North Carolina State at 6 p.m. The ACC opener for both teams will be available to watch and stream nationally on ACC Network.

- Boston College is coming off the long weekend with a 1-0-1 record, as it defeated Jacksonville 1-0 on Friday night and tied 0-0 with Green Bay on Monday night
- Sophomore Ted Cargill got the lone goal for the Eagles on the weekend after he scored on a low shot just inside the left post in the 37th minute on Friday, proving to be the game-winner
- Freshman Xavier O'Neil led the team throughout the two games with six total shots in 150 minutes played
- Senior goalkeeper Brennan Klein kept a clean sheet all weekend with two shutouts, extending his shutout streak to 270 minutes and his career total to seven
- Klein stopped four shots throughout the two games
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
- NC State currently sits with a record of 2-2-0, with two home wins and two away losses
- The Wolfpack are currently on a losing streak of two games after losses to UCF and Stetson
- Juniors Will Buete and Luke Hille are tied for the team's lead in goals and points with two goals and four points each
- Junior goalkeeper Lucas Hatsios has played in three out of the four games, and has a record of 2-1-0 with a 1.33 goals against average
- NC State is coached by George Kiefer, who has been the coach of the Wolfpack since 2016
SERIES HISTORY
- Boston College is 10-8-3 all-time vs. NC State, including an 8-0-2 record at home
- Friday night will mark the 22nd meeting between the two schools
- NC State has had recent success in the series with the Wolfpack winning three of the last five matches against the Eagles
