Boston College Falls 6-3 on Saturday as Clemson Takes Series

Eagles look ahead to midweek matchups with Bryant and Merrimack
BRIGHTON, Mass. – The No. 11 Boston College Eagles dropped the series finale 6-3 to the Clemson Tigers (28-17,11-10) on Saturday afternoon.  Â
Clemson started the scoring in the opening frame on an RBI single from Billy Amick, who went 3-4 on the day with 2 RBI. The Tigers' starter Caden Grice showed out, throwing eight innings of two-hit ball, striking out nine for his fourth win of the season.Â
Travis Honeyman broke into the Eagles' hit column in the sixth inning, driving a triple to the 375 mark in left-center. He would score on the ensuing pitch, courtesy of a Joe Vetrano RBI single. Honeyman (2-3, 2B, 3B) followed with a double to virtually the same spot in the bottom of the ninth as BC cut it to 6-3 on a sacrifice fly from Nick Wang.Â
Reed Garris finished the game for Clemson, keeping the lead at 6-3.Â
Chris Flynn (6-2) struck out four in five innings of work.Â
The Eagles (29-14, 13-11) will look ahead to midweek games at Bryant on Tuesday, and vs. Merrimack on Wednesday.Â
