ABOUT THE EAGLES
Boston College is 29-14 overall and 13-11 in the ACC following a series loss at home to Clemson. The Eagles are ranked for the eighth consecutive week, peaking at No. 17 in the Baseball America top-25. Senior center fielder Barry Walsh leads the BC lineup with a .309 batting average and 11 stolen bases. Junior right fielder Travis Honeyman is second at .304 with a .534 slugging percentage on 15 doubles, six home runs and two triples. Junior first baseman Joe Vetrano is slugging a team-high .549 with 11 home runs and nine doubles to go with a .293 average. Graduate right-hander Henry Leake starts in the Friday role with a 3-3 record and 6.50 earned run average. Fellow grad RHP Chris Flynn follows in game two. He is 6-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 68 strikeouts. A third grad transfer RHP, Andrew Roman, occupies the closer spot and has a 0.90 ERA with eight saves.
