Eagles go to 21-26, Slike hits seventh home run of the season
LOUISVILLE, KY – Boston College lost to Louisville 10-2 on Friday evening. The Eagles are now 21-26 overall and 3-16 in ACC play and the Cardinals improve to 33-14 and 14-4 in the conference.
BC hung tough for much of today's game against the Cardinals, holding them to just three runs in the first four innings. Sophomore Hannah Slike homered to give her team a 2-1 lead in the third. It was her team-leading seventh of the season
But it wouldn't take Louisville long to respond, scoring two in the bottom of the third inning to take a 3-2 lead, including a solo shot from Taylor Roby. Then in the fifth, the Cardinals rattled off a six run inning to ultimately take full control of the game.Â
Game two of this weekend's series is scheduled for tomorrow at 2 PM EST.Â
