Eagles move to 21-27
LOUISVILLE, KY – Boston College lost to Louisville 8-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles go to 21-27 on the season and 3-17 in the ACC while the Cardinals improve to 34-14 and 15-4 in conference play.
BC once again kept things close through much of today's game. Graduate pitcher Susannah Anderson and the defense held the explosive Louisville offense to just two runs through three innings. But the Cardinals were able to break the game open in the fourth with a four run inning to make the score 6-0.
Anderson pitched 3.1 innings, allowing eight hits and recording one strikeout. Sofia Earle also saw time in the circle, she recorded two strikeouts and allowed two hits in five total at bats.
Finally, in the fifth inning, Louisville put the exclamation mark on their Senior Day win with a two run shot by Korbe Otis.
BC will be back in action tomorrow to close out the series against Louisville at 12 PM EST.
