CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College track & field team will travel to Cambridge, Mass. to compete in the MIT Sean Collier Invitational on April 21-22. Friday's events are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start at the hosting MIT's Steinbrenner Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT
BC saw 10 personal records set on the men's side, including four new additions to the program's all-time top-10 performance lists last weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
Steven Jackson (1500m Invite) and Max McQuide (400m) led the way for the Eagles, with Jackson placing 70th out of 164 runners and McQuide finishing 15th out of 92 competitors in their respective events. Jackson's 1500m time of 3:43.89 ranks him second all-time in program history, while McQuide's 400m time (47.67) places him third all-time for BC.
Freshman Damon Frabotta also entered the Eagles' top-10 in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 52.99 - good for seventh-best in program history. Frabotta would go on to help set the third-best 4x400m Relay time for BC alongside Max McQuide, Jackson Sigalove, and Eddie Kelly with a time of 3:12.21.
Spencer Pett (800m Open) and Andrew Healey (5k Open A Heat 3) rounded out the top finishers for Boston College. Pett finished 16th out of 141 runners with a personal best time of 1:51.97, while Healey placed 19th out of 31 competitors (14:29.37).
