BC To Take On Providence in Midweek Contest
April 18, 2023 | Softball
Eagles will take on the Friars Wednesday before hosting Notre Dame this weekend
Last time out for the Eagles
This past weekend, BC hosted No. 13 Duke for a three game weekend series. The Blue Devils won all three matchups 6-4, 3-0 and 4-2 respectively. In Friday's game Duke led 3-0 for much of the game up until the fourth inning when Sophomore Zoe Hines cranked a three run shot to tie the game. It was her second home run of the season. The Eagles even managed to grab a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning after Senior Maddy Carpe singled to right field to bring Meghan Schouten home for the score. However, errors from the BC defense and a two run home run helped the Blue Devils take back the lead late in the seventh inning. Sophomore Abby Dunning pitched her 11th complete game of the season, she recorded six strikeouts in 25 total at bats.Â
