Eagles Host UConn in Midweek Rematch

BC is currently 18-19 on the season and 2-10 in the ACC after this past weekend's series against Georgia Tech
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass -- Boston College Softball prepares for another midweek game on Tuesday, this time against UConn in a rematch of their matchup earlier this season on March 21 when UConn won 9-7. Tonight's game will be scheduled for first pitch at 4 PM EST and will be broadcasted on ACCNX.Â
This past weekend, the Eagles traveled to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech in a three-game series. The Yellow Jackets won the series 2-1, winning games one and three. In BC's lone win of the weekend  Eagles were able to shake off the earlier struggles and grind out a win. Junior Nicole Giery it what ended up being a critical solo home run in the fourth inning to cut the Tech lead to 2-1. It was her third home run of the season.
The other key moments of the game came in the sixth inning, Senior Captain Maddy Carpe came up with another clutch hit, despite two outs in the inning and an 0-2 count, she doubled to bring Zoe Hines and Kam Warman home for the score to tie the game at 3-3. Then, Sophomore Kali Case singled down the left field line to send Carpe in for the game winning run to make the score 4-3.Â
After today's game against the Huskies, BC will host the Duke Blue Devils this weekend at Harrington Athletics Village.Â
