BC Gets Their Fifth Straight Win In a Row Against UC Riverside
March 06, 2023 | Softball
RIVERSIDE, CA – Boston College took down UC Riverside 5-3 on Monday afternoon for their fifth win in a row, they improve their record to 12-7 while the Highlanders go to 10-10 overall.Â
Riverside got the jump on BC early, going up 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth. The Eagles would then get one back in the top of the fifth to make the score 2-1 on a base hit from Kali Case to send Darien McDonough home.Â
The big moment of the game came in the top of the sixth when BC finally got a hold of the game thanks to an RBI from Gianna Sarlo that saw both Nicole Giery and Darien McDonough score and a single from Kali Case that sent Kam Warman home to make the score 5-2.
The Eagles would then go on to do a nice job closing out the game in the final inning, keeping their composure and getting out of a bases loaded situation thanks to some nice pitching work from Graduate pitcher Susannah Anderson. Â
Anderson got the win and the start for Boston College. She pitched a complete game, recording 10 strikeouts and allowing only three hits and three runs in seven innings pitched and 25 total at bats.Â
BC Softball will head down to Hofstra University next weekend for a three game seriesÂ
