CHESTNUT HILL, MASS– Boston College will take on Hofstra in a three game series this weekend, they will play a game Friday, a game Saturday and a game Sunday with all three scheduled to start at 12 p.m EST.Â
Last weekend the Eagles swept UC San Diego in the series, they won 6-0, 5-1, and 3-2 in each game respectively. Some of the highlights included another home run for Senior catcher Maddy Carpe in the first game to help propel her team to a win, Abby Dunning was also a key contributor in the circle for the Eagles in that one, she pitched a complete game and a shutout recording eight strikeouts and allowing just five total hits in 24 at bats. BC also won a nail biter in game three, up just 3-2 in the final inning, Dunning came in to get the save holding off the Tritons final rally.Â
BC then played UC Riverside on Monday, where they won 5-3. Junior Erika Andal had maybe the catch of the year so far for the team, denying what would have been a big hit for the Highlanders. Graduate pitcher Susannah Anderson got the win, pitching all seven innings, recording ten strikeouts and allowing just three hits in 25 at bats.Â
