
Lacrosse Falls to No. 6 Denver in Neutral-Site Matchup

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Â - Boston College lacrosse suffered a 13-8 setback against No. 6 Denver on Sunday afternoon at Rock Lacrosse Field on the campus of Jacksonville.Â
The Eagles are 6-3 following their seventh game against a ranked opponent in nine contests, while Denver improves to 9-0.Â
Jenn Medjid turned in her seventh hat trick of the game with three goals, and Kayla Martello netted her fourth hat trick of the season with three scores. Mckenna Davis led the team with two assists.Â
Hunter Roman and Sophia Taglich paced the defense with three caused turnovers. Andrea Reynolds recorded five draw controls.Â
It was the first quarter that set the tone for the game, where the Pioneers jumped out to a 6-0 lead going into the second. DU scored four of its goals in a 1:34 span late in the first to take control of the contest.Â
BC cut the lead down to four in the final period when Belle Smith found Medjid to put the score at 10-6, but Denver scored three straight to put the game away.Â
BC returns to action next Saturday at Noon against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.Â
