Eagles go a combined 11-3 on Sunday at the Conference meet

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Fencing team hosted and competed in the 2023 Northeast Fencing Conference Championships on Sunday at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.

The meet consisted of nine rounds, with each team having a bye in one of those rounds. The Eagles were joined by Brandeis, Brown, MIT, Sacred Heart, Tufts, Vassar, Wellesley, and Wagner. Boston College received a bye in round 1, and then proceeded to compete in all of the final eight rounds of the meet. The Men's team only competed in six rounds due to Wellesley and Tufts not having Men's programs.

Key Moments and Stats

The Women's team finished the meet with an overall record of 6-2 with wins against Brandeis, Vassar, Wagner, Wellesley, Tufts, and Sacred Heart.
Women's Foil finished with a 7-1 record and Women's Sabre finished 6-2, while Women's Epee was 5-3 on the day.
The Men's team completed the meet with a final record of 5-1, only losing to MIT in round 3.
Men's Sabre carried the way, finishing with a record of 5-1. Men's Epee went 4-2, while Men's Foil ended the six rounds with a 3-3 record.
