
Eagles Return from Break at Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON – The Boston College men's track & field team started off 2023 at the TRACK at new balance for the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational on Saturday, January 14.
The Eagles got busy in their first meet since December 3 - earning six top-five finishes across four events. BC also secured two other top-10 placements for a sum of eight altogether.
Edward Tristine led the individual events with a second-place finish in the 800m run (1:54.94). He was shortly followed by Ryan Murray (1:55.48) - who placed third in the event after trailing Tristine by just 0.54 seconds. Eero Helenius (1:56.67) and Colin Shaver (1:58.86) completed the top-10 BC finishers for the event, placing fifth and eighth respectively.
Max McQuide and Eddie Kelly were also able to place within the top-five of their events. McQuide grabbed a third-place finish in the 200m with a time of 22.32 while Kelly earned fourth place after running the 400m in 49.59 seconds. Spencer Pett rounded out the top-10 finishers with a seventh-place finish in the 400m dash (50.71).
BC also found success in the relay events - with the team of Max McQuide, Eddie Kelly, Stephen Colleran, and Damon Frabotta earning second place in the 4x400m relay.
