
Eagles Host Virginia Tech in "One Love" Game

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College lacrosse team hosts Virginia Tech on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Alumni Stadium in the "One Love" game.

About the Eagles
Caitlynn Mossman put forth an all-around effort with a career-high seven points after registering a game-high four goals with three assists. She was one of three Eagles with a hat trick, as Belle Smith and Jenn Medjid scored three times. It was all Eagles in the last three frames, outscoring their opponent 15-3. Rachel Hall made five saves on the day, giving the senior 501 for her career. She is one of seven active players in the nation and one of three in the ACC with 500 for their career.
National Recognition
(Belle) Smith was named to the U.S. National Team over the week, where she will take part in the Sixes Game in Birmingham, Ala. this summer. Eight players were named to the Inside Lacrosse Mid-Season All-American Team.

Smith Coming On
Over the last two games, Smith has come alive with a total of eight goals, three assists, 11 points, four caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls. In the three contests before that, she had only scored three times and posted one assist. The sophomore became the sixth-fastest player in school history to reach the 100-point mark (32 games).
Scouting Virginia Tech (8-5, 2-3 ACC)
- Virginia Tech is 8-5 to the season and 2-3 in league action.
- The Hokies are 3-3 on the road this season.
- Three Hokies have scored at least 20 goals, with Sarah Lubnow posting a team-high 32 goals.
-Whitney Libner's 22 assists are a team-high, while Lubnow's 15 are second, giving the graduate student a team-high 47 points.

Series History
BC is 14-5 all-time against Virginia Tech, while winning the last three meetings. It's the first time the Eagles have played VT at home, as BC has played the Hokies on the road in the last two contests.
