
Eagles Host UNC in a Matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team hosts No. 2 North Carolina in a rematch of last season's NCAA Tournament semifinal tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Alumni Stadium. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

Last Time Out
Nine Eagles scored in the triumph, while three earned hat tricks. Charlotte North tied a season-high with seven goals. Jenn Medjid tallied three goals and an assist, while Mckenna Davis recorded her first collegiate hat trick with three scores.

Rachel Hall is nine saves away from becoming one of four active players in the country to reach 500 career saves. North is three goals away from moving into fifth all-time in school history in goals. She is eight away from moving into fourth.
Scouting North Carolina (8-0, 2-0 ACC)
The Tar Heels are 35-1 over their last 36 games with the lone loss coming against BC. UNC is first in the nation in assists per game (11.0) and fourth in goals per game (17.8). Carolina is allowing 8.12 goals per game this season, which leads the ACC and is fifth in the nation in scoring defense. Three players for UNC have scored at least 20 goals, with Jamie Ortega's 25 goals being a team-high. Her 18 assists give her a team-best 43 points. Caitlyn Wurzburger's 19 assists are first on the team. She has 14 goals for 33 points. Taylor Moreno has started in all eight games between the posts, while she is boasting a .500 save percentage.
Series History
Boston College is 6-18 against UNC. The Eagles captured an exciting 11-10 victory in the 2021 NCAA Semifinal. Hall posted 11 saves on 10 shots and Medjid scored four times to lead the offense.
