Eagles Host Senior Night Against UNC on ACC Network

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College hosts North Carolina on Friday night at the Newton Soccer Complex at 6 p.m. on ACC Network. Friday is Senior Night as the Eagles honor their four seniors – Walker Davey, Jesus Sahagun, Stefan Sigurdarson, Amos Shapiro-Thompson and Victor Souza. BC will also honor graduate student Adrian Zenko (graduates Wil Jacques and Tyshawn Rose were honored last season).
ICE MAN
• With eight goals during his senior season, Stefan Sigurdarson is second in the ACC and 16th in the entire country in total goals
• The Icelandic striker has scored in each of his last two ACC matches and his team-high point total (17) ranks fourth in the league
• Sigurdarson has 24 career goals at Boston College and is tied with Charlie Davies for seventh place all-time in program history
• The senior trails Charlie Rugg by four goals for sixth place all-time
• His 56 career points are tied for 10th in school history and he trails Davies by only three points for ninth place
SCOUTING THE TARHEELS
• North Carolina enters the matchup at 6-4-3 overall following a 3-0 loss on the road to Elon on Tuesday night
• UNC's two ACC victories this season have been shutouts of Notre Dame and Virginia Tech with shutout defeats to Pitt and Clemson
• The Tarheels have scored just 12 goals all season but have limited opponents to 11 through 13 matches
• Milo Garvanian leads the team with 12 points on four goals and four assists
• Andrew Cordes has started all but one match in net with a 6-4-2 record, 0.92 goals against average and five shutouts
