BOSTON COLLEGE VS. VIRGINIA - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game is the 26th all-time meeting between the two teams. Boston College is 8-17 all-time against Virginia.
- In ACC regular season play, BC is 7-13 against Virginia. Last year, UVA earned a 61-49 win on Jan. 9, 2021 at Conte.
- On Jan. 7, 2020, the Eagles snapped a six-game losing streak vs. the Cavaliers with a 60-53 win at home.
- Boston College has held its last two ACC opponents under 60 points.
- Pittsburgh scored 56 points on Jan. 30 and UNC had 58 on Jan. 26.

- T.J. Bickerstaff registered his second 17-rebound game of the season at North Carolina.
- Bickerstaff is one of 12 players nationally - two in the ACC (Bacot - UNC) to have multiple games with 17 rebounds or more.
- Fourteen of Bickerstaff's 17 rebounds came on the defensive glass versus the Tar Heels. Â
- The last BC player to grab at least 14 defensive boards in a game - Ky Bowman (16)Â - against Notre Dame on Jan. 12, 2019.
- The 17 rebounds tied for the fifth-most rebounds in a game in Boston College history.
- Danya Abrams holds the BC rebounding record, grabbing 20 boards at home vs. Providence on Jan. 22, 1994.
- Bickerstaff also corraled 17 boards at home vs. Columbia - the fourth-most in a single-game in Conte Forum history.

- Bickerstaff has two double-doubles on the season, most recently at Louisville, finishing with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
- He registered his first collegiate double-double - 22 points/15 rebounds - and three steals and two blocks at Rhode Island.
- Bickerstaff is one of only four players nationally to have a stat line with at least 22-15-3-2 in a single game.

- At Clemson, Karnik (17) and Ashton-Langford (19) combined for 36 of BC's 70 points.

- Boston College again erased a double-digit deficit to win, this time against Virginia Tech.

- Trailing 34-11, with 7:11 remaining in the first half, BC outscored Clemson by 25 - 59-34 - over the next 33 minutes.
- BC took its first lead on a Brevin Galloway 3-pointer - his fifth of the night - with 26 seconds left, giving BC a 69-68 advantage.
- Makai Ashton-Langford tacked on a free throw with 15 seconds left, making it 70-68.
- At the time of Clemson's 34-11 lead, the Tigers held a 99.5% win probability rate.
- It tied as the largest comeback in an ACC game in conference history.
- Duke erased a 23-point deficit at Louisville (2/13/19), while UVA overcame a 23-point hole vs. Duke in 2OT on Jan. 14, 1995.
- It is the largest comeback in a game in Boston College program history.
- Previously, the biggest comeback was 18 points, coming on Dec. 29, 2004 at home against Kent State. Â
- BC trailed, 41-23, in the first half, before rallying for the 67-65 win, capped by a Craig Smith 12-footer at the buzzer for the win.
- It tied for the largest comeback in an ACC game for Boston College since Jan. 27, 2009.
- The Eagles erased a 16-point first half deficit in College Park, holding the Terps to only 27 second half points.
- It is the largest comeback in regulation in 2021-22. JMU erased a 23-point deficit to beat W&M in OT this past Saturday.
- The largest deficit overcome in Division I was 34. Drexel overcame a 53-19 deficit to beat Delaware, 85-83 on Feb. 22, 2018.
- Quinten Post scored a career-high 24 points - against Georgia Tech. Post scored 18 of his 24 in the second half.
- The 7-footer from Amsterdam connected on 10-of-14 shots from the floor - tying for the most FG by a BC player in 2021-22.
- Post also corralled nine rebounds in the Georgia Tech game, while dishing out two assists.
- Between 2020-21 and this season, Post is averaging +6.0 points and +3.0 rebounds per game.
- Percentage-wise, Post and is shooting nearly +4.0% better from the floor and +15.0% better from the free throw line.
- Post ranks fourth on BC in scoring (8.9 ppg) and is second in rebounding (5.4 rpg) this season.
- At Pitt, Makai Ashton-Langford put forth one of the most efficient performances by a point guard in the nation in 2021-22.
- Ashton-Langford finished the game with 23 points (4 3FGM), 3 rebounds, 4 assists (1 turnover), 1 block, and 3 steals.
- His EFF rating (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK - Missed Shots - TO) was a team-best 24, while his offensive rating was 133.8.
- The 23 points - and four 3-pointers made - were new career-highs for the 6-3 point guard.
- He is one of only two players to post that statistical line on the box score this season (A.J. Walker of Air Force).
- Dating back to 1996-97, Troy Bell was the only Boston College player to post at least those totals in a single game.

- Through 20 games, DeMarr Langford Jr. is settling into his sophomore season.
- He helps lead a balanced BC attack, averaging 10.5 points - second on BC -Â with 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
- Langford Jr. kickstarted the Jan. 30 win over Pitt, scoring 11 of his 17 points in the first half.
- He averaged 17.3 points per game while shooting nearly 63.3% (19-30) from the floor in the Eagles' first three wins.
- Langford Jr. scored a career-high 20 points (6-9 FG; 8-8 FT) in 31 minutes vs. Holy Cross.
- The sophomore connected 13 of his first 15 field goal attempts on the season, making his first five shots vs. Holy Cross.
- He opened the season with a 16-point performance vs. Dartmouth, making 8-of-10 shots on the night.
- Since 1996-97, only 23 Boston College players have shot at least 80% while attempting at least 10 field goals in a game.
- Last season as a freshman, he averaged 6.7 points and 4.2 boards while adding 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
- Langford Jr. - nicknamed Boo by his grandmother - is the younger brother of starting point guard Makai Ashton-Langford.
- On Nov. 26, 2020 vs. Rhode Island, they became the first brothers from Massachusetts to start in the same game for BC.
- Jaeden Zackery ranks third on BC in scoring (9.1), second in assists (2.5), and tied for first in steals (1.4) so far this season.
- Among all ACC first-year players, Zackery ranks sixth in scoring, second in assists, and second in steals.
- He has reached double-digits nine times and has led the Eagles in scoring on four occasions.
- The Salem, Wisc. product has registered an effective FG% of 52.4% and a true shooting percentage of 54.4% in 20 games.
- Zackery is connecting on better than 47% of his 3-point attempts on the season, knocking down 24-of-51.
- He is one of 40 players - and eight freshmen nationally - to shoot 47% or better from 3FG (24 3FGM min).
- He was named to the Sunshine Slam All-Tourney team, after scoring a season-high 19 points against Rhode Island.
- The 6-2 guard added 15 points (3-4 3FG) vs. Utah the night before in the semifinal round of the Sunshine Slam tourney.
- In three Sunshine Slam games: 15.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals, 64% (16-25) FG, 63.6% (7-11) 3FG.
- Earlier this season, he became the first BC freshman to dish out at least six assists in consecutive games in nearly a decade.
- In 2012-13, Boston College's Joe Rahon had six dimes against Providence (12/21/12) and Holy Cross (12/29/12).
- Zackery was a 2020-21 NJCAA Third Team All-American out of Chipola College in Florida.
- Gianni Thompson tied his season-high with six points vs. Pittsburgh. He also had three boards and an assist in the win.
- Thompson's previous scoring high came against North Carolina, knocking down a season-best two 3-pointers on Jan. 2.
- In that game, the Newton product was the first Eagle off the bench, playing 10 minutes. Â
- It was his first extended action (10+ minutes of playing time) in 50 days - between Holy Cross and North Carolina.
- The 6-8 freshman has made 3-of-5 attempts from beyond the arc in ACC play.
