Multiple Personal-Best Performances at John Thomas Terrier Classic

Jalon Williams runs fourth-best 200m (22.13) in BC history; David Scherrer (4:04.98) clocks sixth-fastest mile
BOSTON, Mass. — The Boston College men's track & field team registered numerous personal-best times on Sunday afternoon at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, held at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
Jalon Williams clocked a time of 6.93 in the 60m invitational, finishing fifth overall. Williams used a 6.96 time to advance to the finals. Later in the 200m, Williams blazed BC's fourth-fastest time in program history - 22.13 - to finish 21st. Marcus Manson tied his PR in the 200, with a time of 22.87. Manson would also run the 400m, finishing in a season-best 50.12
The middle distance corps also posted several personal and season best times. In the 800m, John Walker (1:53.02), Adriano Barilla (1:53.59), Eddie Kelly (1:54.74), and Eero Helenius (1:56.45) each set a new PR, while Denis Gallagher ran his fastest half-mile of the season (1:53.83). Two more Eagles - Edward Tristine (2:27.83) and Peter Fox (2:30.02) - clocked PR's in the 1,000m.
David Scherrer ran the sixth-fastest indoor mile in BC history, crossing the line in 4:04.98. Steven Jackson (8:17.80) and Andrew Healey (8:28.45) also posted huge PR's in the 3,000m.
